Getting Started with the Melodial App

Download the app, sign in with your account details, and start playing licensed background music in your venue — all in under two minutes.

Step 1: Download the App

Download the Melodial app for free on iOS (App Store) or Android (Google Play).

Step 2: Sign In to Your Account

When you signed up, we sent a welcome email with your username and password. Check your inbox (and spam folder) for an email from Melodial. Open the app, enter your email address and password, and tap Sign In.

Step 3: Choose How You Want to Listen

There are three ways to play music — pick whichever suits your venue best, or mix and match:

Radio: Curated stations that stream non-stop. Pick a vibe and it plays all day — no setup needed. Tap Radio in the menu, pick a station, and press play.

Genres: Browse music by genre — Easy Listening, Country, Throwback, Ambient and more. Play a full genre or add individual tracks to your own playlists. Tap Genres, pick a category, then hit play or tap + to add tracks.

Playlists: Build and save your own playlists from the full music library. Perfect for tailoring the exact sound you want for your venue. Tap Playlists, then + to create one. Give it a name and start adding tracks.

Step 4: Keep the Music Playing All Day

For playlists, enable Shuffle and Repeat from the player controls at the bottom of the screen. This loops your music continuously so there's never dead air.

The app keeps playing when you lock your phone or switch to another app. Use your lock screen controls to pause, skip, or adjust volume without reopening Melodial.

All tracks in the Melodial catalogue are volume-levelled so you won't get jarring changes between songs.

Step 5: Create Announcements (Optional)

The Ads tab lets you create AI voice announcements that play automatically between tracks — perfect for specials, welcome messages, or promotions. Tap Ads in the menu, then tap + to create a new announcement. Give it a Campaign Title, write your script (up to 500 characters / ~30 seconds), set playback frequency, pick a voice, and preview before saving.

Tips: Melodial streams at 128kbps — roughly 60 MB per hour, very light on WiFi and mobile data. Connect your phone or tablet to a Bluetooth speaker or AUX cable for the best in-venue sound.
