Every Melodial subscription includes fully licensed music and an official certificate for your venue. Here's how it works and what to do if anyone asks.

Why You Don't Need Another Music Licence

When you play music from Spotify, YouTube, or a personal collection in a business, you typically need a separate public performance licence. Melodial works differently.

We own or directly license every track — every song in the Melodial catalogue is either owned by us or licensed directly from the rights holder for commercial use. That means we can grant you permission to play it in your business — no middleman needed.

Your Melodial subscription is your licence. You don't need to pay PRS, PPL, APRA, AMCOS, Buma/Stemra, or any other collecting society. One flat price covers everything.

Get Your Certificate of Compliance

Your Certificate of Compliance is your proof that the music you're playing is fully licensed. You can download it at any time from your account page.

How to download:

1. Go to melodial.com/account and sign in.

2. Click on "Certificate of Compliance" in your account dashboard.

3. Your certificate will download as a PDF.

Your certificate shows your business name, subscription period, and confirms that the music you play is licensed for commercial use in your venue. Keep a copy somewhere handy — on your phone, printed behind the counter, or saved to your files.

If Someone Asks About Your Music Licence

Show them your Certificate of Compliance. This document confirms that your music subscription covers commercial use and that no additional performance licence is required.

If you receive a letter, visit, or phone call from a licensing body (such as PRS, PPL, or APRA), you do not need to pay them. Contact us at hello@melodial.com and forward the letter — we'll help you respond.

Your Certificate Renews With Your Subscription

As long as your subscription is active, you're covered. Your certificate is valid for the duration of your subscription period. If you renew, you can download an updated certificate from your account at any time.
